why cloth: potential response

Image by Mary Lou Trinkwon - coordinator - first speaker on video
The other day over at Jude's Magic Diary page, she made reference to a post by Deb Lacativa: Conflicted. On her blog Deb asks, "why cloth."  Some people have left comments related to this post on both Deb's blog and on Jude's.  I've been think about it and then I happened to see this YouTube posting from Capilano University in North Vancouver.  I liked the introduction by the coordinator of the Textile Arts programs there and the answers some of the students gave in response to "why cloth."  One states it is related the history of civilization...as are many things in truth.  But it is also related to a personal history as another student suggests...and that is true as well.  So if you haven't seen this video - it might give some thought to the question, "why cloth?'
